19 Feb 2009, 0256 hrs IST MUMBAI: A fake letterhead of the MNS is doing the rounds of schools, banks, MTNL offices and private firms, threatening to shut down the
workplace if Bihari and UP workers are not removed from their posts. The letters, which also seek donation for a new hospital, have upset senior MNS officials and Raj Thackeray. Manish Dhuri, a senior MNS activist, told TOI: "My signatures have been forged.'' Dhuri added that he has already lodged a complaint at the Amboli police station. "I have also written a clarification to the police commissioner and the state home department,'' said Dhuri. Two letters are being circulated. One such letter states: "We are pleased to announce the MNS will be starting an agitation against UPites and Biharis.'' The police are investigating the case and have not been able to identify the culprit so far.
